Buyer Hesitation
When “for sale” signs outnumber buyers in the housing market, many consumers take more time before committing to a purchase. Hesitancy due to fear of making the wrong decision often prevents buyers from making the right one.
Out of the dozens of homes for sale in a particular neighborhood, only a few will be exceptionally well-kept or correctly-priced. These homes will sell quickly, even in a sluggish market where sellers are more likely to dangle valuable incentives. Less tentative buyers who can spot these favorable conditions and act quickly will be signing contracts for the best deals on the finest homes, while others will still be evaluating the situation. Procrastination in decision making can lead to missing out on the right house at the right price.
